Nearly half of Brits working in the UK are banned from living with a spouse from outside the EU under the coalition's tough new anti-immigration law, new research has revealed.

Does anyone know if this has reduced the number of arranged brides, cousins etc being brought in from the badlands of Pakistan ?

I doubt it, I would have thought as many Pakistanis are self employed, own businesses or work for other Pakistanis there could be ways of getting around the minimum financial requirement :NoNo:

Whatever the Appeal Court judgment will be it's certain that the losing side will then appeal to the Supreme Court.

I wouldn't want to bet that this case will get decided until well after the General Election 2015
