We have been sending over a little cash these last few weeks and we use World Remit, we send £500 at a time and the charge is just over £6,
I think the charge is good and sometimes they do a half price charge too, so then its down to just over £3 which is even better,
What do others use and is there a better way of sending cash

We use Metro Remittance Bank, I think it's a £7 fee but the exchange rate is always good.
At the end of the day who ever you use the fees are totally irrelevant, one sender maybe charging x% another £5 and another £25, it's the rate of exchange you have to look at, forget the fees just work out how many Peso's arrive at the other end :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Simon, you're dead right, it is the exchange rate they give that matters, PNB Europe do a good exchange rate, I can't fault them

The last few times the rate has been around 73/74 pesos to the pound, which i think is fine

I just sent money last night with WorldRemit. Like most people, I use one I trust and have used before. I have been using WorldRemit for the last 2 years. I trust WorldRemit well. I used to send Western Union but they are very expensive if sending small amounts. Anything over £1000 with Western is better that World Remit because of the exchange rate but the fees are high.
I was a verified user on Western Union, then one day they refused me and wanted to know everything, where the money was from, what was it for, who was the people or person I was sending it to?? I gave them all the information they wanted but they are a real ball ache sometimes so do not use them, only World Remit for now.
Have been sending £1000 a month for the last 2 years to bank account with WorldRemit and I will be using them until further notice. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Maybe a silly question, but sending money via PNB Europe, can it only be sent to PNB accounts, or can I send it to a different bank in the Philippines?

You can also send to different Banks in the Philippines. I sent some money to my brothere's BPI account and my mother's Landbank account before. It took 1-3 working days to process though.
I availed the PNB Global Filipino Card for my beneficiary (my mum), and everytime I send the money to that card, it can be collected or withdrawn straight away...

That Global Filipino Card is a great idea. We're finally getting around to it and going to PNB next week to sort a couple out. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

You don't need to go to the branch neither, I registered to PNB remittance by post...then phoned them to avail the Global Filipino Card after they confirmed my account registration.
