My wife went for her 3rd and final appointment for her sputum test for the TB test today (pregnant so wasn't allowed X ray screening) Now we have to wait 8-9 weeks for the result.

While she was at the TB test place, she got speaking to someone and they told her they applied for a visa before they went for the sputum test and was told that the visa result will be on hold pending the result of the sputum test.

I'm not exactly sure this is the right way forward, but I wish to email to find out if we can do this as If Harlene doesn't come to UK before the baby is due it is going to delay the application even more as I will have to do a new one to include a baby.... and we very much want for our baby to be born in the UK so it has a British passport to cut out all future problems.

You should have a TB Certificate with you BEFORE you submit all your documents with VFS.

The TB Certificate is valid for six months.

You should submit your wife's application with TB certificate. Mine is valid for 3 months only. I met someone in IOM - hers was 4 months valid, so it's not all the same.

Good luck
