It's high time this shyster left Surrey and headed back north of the border - he needs to get his filthy hotel in order :-

A luxury hotel owned by tennis star Andy Murray has been blasted by inspectors after failing a food hygiene inspection.

I'll never forget his anti England football stance, his ghastly mother is soon to be on the tacky come dancing programme

He is so anti English. Yet he lives here. Why doesn't he stay in Scotland full time if we are that bad!

I've never warmed to him as he never has a good word to say about English people.

I think he,ll deeply regret coming out in favour of the 'YES' vote, that,s for sure

The brother's not up to much either and the mother is a self centred publicity seeker. A fairly awful family

I'm with Ded, can't stand the bloke. He's quite clearly anti English and it's easy to support the 'YES' campaign whilst living in leafy Surrey.

As for his mother :cwm23:

I'm with you all. He has always been anti-English. His PR Company no doubt told him to button it while he makes his millions. Could be interesting next Wimbledon.

Have you noticed how crap he is again since splitting from his coach, Ivan Lendl?

Lendl made Murray the player he was and deserves far more credit.

And yeah, I'm not a fan of him either.

Shyster? How do you work that one out ??

So because he agreed with the 'YES' vote..... you think he should go back to Scotland !! The worst you could say is that it was a misguided choice ( I am a 'NO') but a choice that he is free to have.

"Filthy hotel"... come on .... get real.... it was a simple connection to a wash hand basin !! FFS !!

Can't believe the dislike here. Anti English re the football was teased out of him and misquoted.

I'm Scottish, lived in England most of my life, but I always want England to lose at football ... not because I am anti-England - or English - but simply because it gives me an easier life ! Cos if England wins, the comments that come my way here in England are both annoying and irritating. You may say it's no big deal and should go with it as it's only banter... try listening to it for over 40 years.

I may add that I have travelled over the world supporting England in other sports and have even coached England national players in my sport. It's just football fans that are irritating.

I'm a proud English supporter (ok keep it quiet at the moment) but have always been amazed at the nastiness of some Scotland fans towards the England team. It doesn't go the other way.

When England have not qualified (Argentina '78) I cheered on Scotland, likewise Eire and Northern Ireland etc - so did my mates.

Always had to put up with the lame excuse from Scottish fans that we always think we are going to win a trophy. We don't :bigcry:

We just get carried away knowing we have a chance, albeit tiny. :doh

I have never liked Murray for the reasons mentioned, he comes across as boring, dour and miserable.

I'm not a Murray fan, in fact I would prefer him to stay on the north side of the border, if you are not or don't want to be part of the union, ciao.....

He's got a petulant, snarling super brat attitude totally at odds with the British sense of fair play and sportsmanship. He hates the English yet he's happy to soak up English schoolgirl Wimbledon adulation. All this whilst living in the Surrey stockbroker belt. He's dropping down the tennis rankings so its high time for him to break for the border and join Sean Connery in the Bahamas

Same thing happens to the English living in Scotland. It works both ways.

When I lived there, every other person new I met came out with something like "So you're one of them are you?", which got irritating, and that was even before the topic of football came up.

As Les said, Murray comes across as an unlikeable character anyway. If he had the personality of wee Gordon Strachan for example, I'm sure people would take to him a lot more.

As for Andy Murray, are you all sure he's anti-English?

Yes he's a miserable git, but - lives in England and partner is English. The whole "anyone but England" thing comes more about as banter and rivalry than actual hatred - it's just English who are more open and will support anyone who don't seem to be able to understand this.

What I have noticed though is that if I've ever joked to any Scots that I'll support whoever they are playing, they don't like it the other way around and all hell breaks loose.

Always thought the UK was supposed to be a partnership of equals, but it suits some with an ulterior motive to perpetuate the idea amongst some Scots and some Welsh that they are the victims of English oppression.

What gets me about this thread is that some of the people will jump on the backs of people who troll, and then that is exactly what they are doing in this thread.

Andy Murray has a right to his opinion, the same as all of us. It is a free country. Being vindictive by some of the members, some who are being two-faced (see above comment), I find disgusting.

The 'joke' he made about supporting anyone but England

Then he says he was angry with Salmond for waving the Scottish flag behind him when he won Wimbledon, he went on to say he had played for GB and not Scotland since he was a kid

Then he tweets his support for Scottish independence, saying he would probably be playing for Scotland.

You can see why some people might be :censored: off with him, it looks like he is 2-faced, changing his allegiance when it suits him :cwm25:
