View Full Version : Expedited Case.....

Since we submitted our fiance visa application we've used the UKVI email form for updates.
Twice we've had a reply saying the application is waiting to be assessed, but today we had a reply saying there are no updates and maybe we've given incorrect info. We replied saying the info is correct, and asking what it means that there are suddenly no updates. They replied asking for further info, saying they're going to expedite the case.
We've given the info and they say they've escalated the case to the relevant department.
Has anyone ever had anything like this before? Or does anyone know what it could possibly mean?
I'm really worried - could the application be lost or something?

Ohh I was hoping you might have come across it before, Terpe. I realise it would be speculation only but have you any idea what it could mean? Or what you would assume it to mean if it were yours?
I mean there's obviously some problem, right?

Did it come direct from Manila Hub?
What info did they ask you to provide?

It came from donotreply@hgs-ukvi.co.uk.
They said -
With regards to your query, please provide us the following information so that we can expedite the case:
Full name of applicant:
Application number (GWFxxxxxxxxx):
Date of birth of applicant:
Visa application centre reference number:
Date of application:
Place of application ( City and Country ):
Type of Visa applied:
Nationality:
Passport Number:
Then after we gave the info, they said:-
"With the information you have provided, we have now escalated this case to the relevant department who will investigate your case and will be back in contact as soon as possible."

Sorry Lisa, it doesn't make any sense to me at all.
I'd be inclined to send an e-mail to the Embassy asking for an explanation
