One of our drivers is being pulled into court - he must pay a fine for smoking while sitting at traffic lights. So you lot out there watch yourself if you do smoke

If he is the only driver and on his own, it seems over the top. To be honest, I'm glad of the ban as I remember people used to smoke in Taxi - including me - and the banning helped me give up.

I was stopped for a breathalyzer test a few years ago while driving a company van. I got out puffing on a cigarette and the Police didn't bat an eyelid, but then again the van wasn't emblazoned with signwriting.

Before the ban on smoking in company vehicles I used to use a NHS minibus that we took passengers and stores between clinics', a person who was on night call smoked in it, the stink made me feel sick.
