Hey you lot, why are so many of you browsing this forum, some of you should be working, apart from Sir Keith who works his businesses from home, the rest of us should be out working, hey I am just leaving for my afternoon session, if anyone is in the Cambridge area this pm, say hi to me when I drive along the A14 Dual carriageway, you can just make sure your FilipinoUK forum sticker is on the boot lid of your car...then I will recognize you...anyway I Owe I owe,its off to the work I go....
You lot obviously have nothing to do today....hence you are online. browsing....hehehehehehehe (I am crying) :furious3:

I thought we were talking about me grafting, and there doesnt seem to have been much work done today either.
I just got in tonight, and I have had a lousy day, but my babae (honourable legal wife) said come honey "Bow Bow Bow" cute mo cute mo !
I guess I needed that, but now that the day is over, we will take a trip to the delights of our local Tesco. (for you Kapitids in the Philippines, its like going to Robinsons, or SM)
At present the legal wife is ironing the hubbys shirts, and the hubby is browsing here, and the T.V. is on with the Filipino Channel, its T.V. Patrol at the moment, all the news from Manila...EDSA the usual things, all the latest bribery scandals, brown envelopes under the table, and a 3 Pesos hike on the buses.

good question Tom, Im learning, I write my own Tagalog whether it be gramtically correct or not, but nope I would say 100 per cent I am not fluent...but I do pester the legal wife for translations and let her translate everything for me...sometimes she gets tired of translating.

Thanks for that Tom but those that do not know me, may mistake your comment and begin too think of me as a somewhat lazy bugger out here...
Im sorry but I just can not have any more of it!
Today I had a day off from eating mangoes and guava in my hammock and decided to give the painter a hand to give the ceiling a coat of paint.
He really seemed rather impressed..
To be honest,I rather suspect it was the first time he has witnessed a Kano do such laborious work.:Cuckoo:

I was holding a bright yellow perfectly ripe Indian mango in my hand just 5 mins ago!!

But then I thought that it would probably spoil en voyage which would be a wicked waste..:NoNo:

Its true Tom..
Although I must admit,I was beer fit for Alan and Hanna`s visit..
Didn`t really seem that much like work to be honest.
The hardest part was flipping the lids from SMB`s all day only using a dessert spoon.

Im fortunate as there is lots to do here if I wish..
I used to be a professional decorator and as we still have work to do here I do get stuck in from time to time..Call it a nostalgia trip..lol
There`s a also one or two business sidelines that Im busy planning for future years which will keep me busy in the future if I wish..
No rush..
I have 3 kids.(say no more)
Im also busy reading Michener`s Hawaii..
What a book!
What a schedule!!

Here we go... I said it, now what...???:Erm:
If Micheners Hawaii is as thick as Texas and just as slow and longwinded, aint much of a read, good as a doorstop.
I recommend pure and unadelterated escapism reading Wilbur Smith, Tom Clancy and Jeremy Clarkson.... etc.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

i find that jeremy clarkson's writing (for me) is either extremely interesting or extremely boring - depending on the subject matter at hand. However, maybe this is just because i am interested in some things and not in others!
fred
18th November 2007, 16:11
Yeah.. Micheners Hawaii maybe as thick as Texas but I hasten to add,not nearly as stupid!!
The first couple of chapters are pretty tough but if you survive those 2 then the rest of the book becomes extremely entertaining and very addictive..
Ive read it twice..But then I have time on my hands.
(which is ideal when reading a book of that depth)
and what are the downsides to your present life?I had a good think about that question today but still cant think of a decent answer..
What do you think the downsides might be?
