View Full Version : Veiled up Muslim learning to drive

Just now whilst in the car I was stunned to see a fully veiled up Muslim (gender unknown) at the wheel of a L plated driving school car. The form was also wearing glasses. I've never seen this before and I have concerns now about being ploughed into by someone with an extremely restricted field of vision. Does anyone know if this is against the law ?

Can't see it restricting vision to be honest, would love to see the pic on the driving licence though :cwm25:

It impedes peripheral vision and imho should come under careless driving. They wouldn't get away with it in France :-

A French Muslim woman has been fined for wearing a full-face veil while driving a car.

Police in the western city of Nantes said the veil - which showed only her eyes - restricted her vision and could have caused an accident.

Yes, it must restrict the wide vision left and right, and when you're driving you need eyes in the back of your head.

I guess she could keep turning her head left to right, like a spectator for tennis :icon_lol:

I would have thought that when test day comes along the examiner will tell her to uncover her face:Erm:

That's a joke! :icon_lol: The truth is May and co are spineless. They have no problem cutting the pensions of the police and fire service but they can't ban the veil? :yikes:

Let's say if it were you or I clad like that while learning to drive then yes ... we'd [probably] be regarded as breaking the law ... :anerikke: ... but it seems these people are a law unto themselves in today's politically correct society! :icon_rolleyes:

Its easy to ban the veil Arthur. France did without a problem. Muslims still live there.

Ah, the school kid in the playground tactics again Ded. (It wasn't me it was him). Your party is in power and they should deal with it. Maybe you should send an email to May and see how far you get. I will wait for the outcome.:laugher:

No, Ded . Just seeing what influence you have on May.:icon_lol:. 4 and a half years in power. More immigration, Bedroom Tax, people's pensions robbed and still a massive deficit and more cutbacks to come! And you think they will get in again. :laugher::laugher:

The womens' libbers have gone quiet .

Obviously approve of women being 'chattels' controlled and dictated to by men. :anerikke:

The fact is, the (majority) people of this country have been so tied up in knots and gagged by the pc prats, that we and our country are now totally at the mercy of Islam and its followers.

Then there is the disgrace of the 'Halal' meat trade.

The government and the RSPCA are a disgrace for not stopping this !

Schools buy this meat because it is cheaper !
