Well, this hoodie got into my taxi the other day and asked me to take him to the police station. Looking at him, he was the worst sort - a real bad apple.
I asked if he was signing his bail condition to which he replied he was. What a bad boy! :doh

Anyway, he returned to the taxi and took him home.
He went to get money and the poor petal had none. :yikes:

So he said if I called later that evening I would get paid, and he would pay me as, if he did not, he was fully aware he would be breaching his bail conditions.

Well, the little devil never paid me. So, after 2 visits to the address, I went to see the cops and made a booking to give a statement.

Well, it was for 8am next day. Copper turned up at 8.30 am

We took an hour to take my statement, only for the copper to say I probably won't get anything as it's not in the public interest to chase £12. :doh
I said, "if i nick a packet of Smarties from Poundland would i be arrested?" and the answer was "yes." :cwm23:

The naughty boy had committed Armed Robbery, had served 7 years in jail and was awaiting another court appearance on 10 charges of theft. What a devil he is.

Upshot is, I have heard nothing from the police; all they said was, "we might lock him up for the night." :icon_lol:

No idea what happened. He is from a notorious family and it looks like I wasted 2 hours on trying to get my :censored: money!

Oh well, :anerikke: such things happen. Good to know the Criminal Justice System works so well (NOT!)

(This thread is officially censored by myself for forum harmony) :icon_lol:

No offensive words in there Les. :NoNo:

I don't know why you don't ask people up front for a deposit, You must have an idea how much its going to cost, say its £12, get a tenner off them first. They make you pay upfront at the dentist these days.

This would end the post I made a couple of weeks ago about a teenage girl who found she didn't have the money when it came to pay, and the driver took the Xmas tree from outside her parents' house. :doh

Look on the bright side Les, you won't have to pay tax on the £12. Every job has its risks.

No, you would not do that for a short journey, and besides that, with him being on bail I expected no problems.

Yes, and a guy once produced a gun in my taxi - he was a cad too :icon_lol:

Looks like you have a few cads in Harrogate, Les. :cwm25:
Sounds worse than Blackpool or Salford

Hate to correct you, but the man with the Gun was from Bradford - twinned with Blackpool. :icon_lol:

A taxi driver got ripped off this week for around £150 when his passengers scarpered and left a "dozing" mannequin "to pay the fare".

As events transpired, she was a "dozy" mannequin [literally!] getting into a taxi with people she'd possibly just met :icon_rolleyes: ... then nodding off. :NEW5:

Do you recognise this tattoo? Artist needs help to track down customer who ran off without paying

The tattooist has spread it all over so called "social media" - with so many idle hands spending untold time such sites it won't be long before he's caught

I got ripped off today.
I bought radishes, cucumbers and tomatoes that should have amounted to P24 but the vendor wanted P30
No choice so I had to hand over the money.

That's P6 over the top.
I'll not go there again :NoNo:

Wow, that final session of a four hour sitting is quite something.
