Good on him for raising this issue! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

But I'm sure it's not just Devon where this is a problem.

It will change, if the Tories don't win the next Election, I'm sure Labour will lower it or scrap it altogether.

Harvey a vile, shameless man who claimed expenses for attending a Remembrance Day service. His snout will be wrenched from the trough when he loses his seat in May

Now, now Dedworth, would you have posted that if he was a Tory MP?

I think not

Jack Straw scrapped the Tory primary purpose rule soon as they came into power.

i think they will do the same with this Tory con, the Tories have used it not to stop non EU citizens claiming benefits (they cant claim benefits in their own right til the have at least ILR anyway) but used it to control Immigration and hit the lower paid, as they had promised to do when they came into power, they couldn't control EU citizens coming here, so they did the dirty on British citizens :NoNo:

I most certainly don't condone the actions of trough feeders - far from it - especially those that stoop so low as to claim expenses for attending a Remembrance Service.

Assuming, of course, there's any foundation in the aforementioned allegation. :cwm25:

But as we're all aware, :poke: there are rotten apples in each of the political parties ... and if this bloke Harvey is prepared to stand up and voice his opinions on behalf of decent, ordinary working taxpayers whose dearest wish is to bring their lawfully~wedded non-European partners to the land in which they were born and bred - yet are prevented from doing so, simply because they earn less than the fixed Government threshold - then, in my view, he will've at least partially redeemed himself. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Don't forget about Cameron who claimed expenses he shouldn't have :NoNo:

David Cameron is to repay almost £1,000 he wrongly claimed on Parliamentary expenses after reviewing his claims over recent weeks.

Cameron says “No” to publishing his tax returns

David Cameron today insisted that there are “no surprises” in his tax returns, but refused to commit to publishing them.

The Tory leader impressed there are “no secrets” about his tax affairs, but would not support plans made by No 10 in 2012 for the prime minister and senior cabinet ministers to release their personal tax returns.
