Crikey, there's some sharp increases there :yikes:

A national disgrace I would say. :cwm23:

Perfectly acceptable in my opinion. Fees should be tripled for nationals of countries where fraudulent applications, NHS tourism and overstaying are a matter of course ie the sub continent and various African countries

ILR which will continue to affect many members/visitors to this website from £1093 to £1500 IS a disgrace.

Indefinite Leave to Remain, from £1093 to £1500!!! Naturalisation from £826 to £925!!! Money grabbing country this is!!! :cwm23:

It needed to go up as the 13 years of Labour Govt left it as a ridiculously low level for too long as part of their masterplan to swamp the nation with mainly unskilled and undesirable immigrants. There's still plenty enough people trying to get in

I'll have to disagree with you on this Dedworth.
I personally don't think the cost of the visa is any deterrent at all to those people intent on abusing the immigration system.
The genuine applicants are the ones who'll get badly hit.
Just my 2 centavos

Going back through old posts, the following proposals in 2009 were mooted and, I assume, put into practise:

Settlement up from £515 to £585 - £70 increase

ILR up from £750 to £820 - £70 again

So, ILR doubling in 6 years ? Outrageous and disgraceful to put it mildly !

How can this be acceptable when members here who are mostly genuine applicants and have genuine relationships are being hit very badly all the time.:cwm23: And take note, most of these so-called benefit frauds are using other means to get their visas, i,e. marrying an EU national (not British) who can get their partners & families here for free.

Exactly Rayna. All tarred with the same brush and of course Ded is wrong again. If he had added to his statement by saying the things that you and Terpe have said I guess it would have been ok. I think he owes genuine families on here an apology.

Its a lot of money .. it means being careful for the next 3.5 years and get FLR & ILR out of the way & UK Citizenship before I dare touch much of our savings!

Of course, "I'm alright Dedworth!" Wouldn't be saying that if he had to pay it now :icon_lol:

EU citizens don't need to apply for Citizenship. Even if they did there is not much any gov't can do seeing as the Tories took us into the 'Common Market'

And if they are applying for ILR then most will have come here in the LAST 5 Years on Cameron's watch :doh

Have you forgotten his election promise, to cut immigration ?And it's gone up! :icon_lol:

FLR increase of 8% fair enough, Naturalisation increase of 12% mmm not too bad but ILR increase of just over 37% absolutely bl__dy disgusting.

Worse than that ! You don't have a choice at all. You need your ILR. Sure, Citizenship you can do without - though it's wise to get it.

What did a Tory minister say, it's a privilege worth paying for? :action-smiley-081:
