Hi Joyz, welcome aboard Filipino UK :welcomex:

As a first step in reviewing the forms and documentation take a look at the UKVI webpage - Apply to join family living permanently in the UK (https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk)

Take a look at the application form details here - Application for UK visa for family settlement: form VAF4A (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-uk-visa-for-family-settlement-form-vaf4a ) then ask any specific questions.

If you haven't already searched here in the forum look here to get some additional background info - How to apply for a spouse visa (http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/39740-All-New-Guide-How-to-apply-for-a-Spouse-Partner-Visa )

To understand the details of the UKVI Financial Requirements then look here at
Annex FM Section FM 1.7: Financial Requirement (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/371437/AnnexFM_Section_FM_1_7_Financial_Requirement.pdf)

Please don't be shy to ask any questions you may have after reviewing the above links.
Visa applications are too serious to guess at

I forgot to mention that the income threshold needs to have been met for at least 6 months prior to the date of visa application submission and payment.

Hello Terpe! I went through the Spouse Visa requirements over and over again.

Whehe.. just want to make sure my understanding is the same as yours or everyones.. my husband used to be self-employed that's why I'm expecting April to April but April last year he has a contract and been working on an hourly basis. If his June to November payslips reach £18,600 can we still apply as it's already March??? If not, I'll sum up his last two full financial years as it can be combined with Category A nonsalaried. Hoping it will come up with £18,600 up..

Terpe, thank you so much.. it's been a great help.

Joyz, so long as you have 6 months of payslips, it can be any block of 6 months; for instance, right now you would need the 6 months to February 2015, then at the end of March it's the 6 months to that, and April would be the 6 months till then and so on.

Basically, it needs to be the 6 months up to when you apply.
