Hello,

Just wondering if anyone would know someone selling calamansi plant or seeds here in UK? I tried to find some, but it is mostly calamondin plants which I think are not the same as the calamansi in the Philippines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know a member here has managed to buy the plant in Aldi in the past. Not sure if they are still selling it coz when I asked her where she bought it, it was 2 years ago I think. As for me, I just buy a pack of frozen calamansi from the Chinese/Asian warehouse whenever I want some. I'm not really good in taking care of plants so it's the convenience I prefer.

Woodlands Garden Centre in Stapleton near Hinckley is selling calamansi trees. The cheapest, smallest I have seen was £24.

What you must realize is that the plants you get at garden centers are not always grown from seed..They are usually a small branch from a tree that is grafted or re rooted..
In that case you will only ever get the amount of calamansi`s that would have been produced on that plant.
Calamansi trees grown from seed grow to over 15 feet high and if they are healthy will produce 100`s in a season.
That said.. Not sure how they should be grown in a UK climate??
I got loads of seeds here.. I wish I could send you some via email? I don't think I can attach them though..

Calamansi-Calamondin, they're the same.

You can get some from Homebase and B&Q. The plant is a bit expensive though, and doesn't last that long.

Hi
I'm not sure if the calamansi produced in Philippines is the same as the ones selling in Homebase as its fruits are orange in colour.

Can I have some seeds please :)

They are probably the same..If you leave them on the trees long enough they turn orange.
