I was pleasantly surprised at the swiftness of this after the FLR(M) affair, and am posting time scales for anyone else undergoing this process.

FLR(M) expired end of January 2015

Posted SET(M) application 16th January 2015

My cheque was cashed on 23rd January 2015

A letter confirming that our papers had been received arrived 24th January 2015

A letter telling us to go for the biometrics procedure arrived 4th February 2015

My wife did her biometrics on 13th February 2015 (on the second attempt as the network was down for 48 hours!)

A letter arrived from the Home Office (dated 11th March) on the 12th March 2015 telling us the application had been approved.

A biometric residents permit arrived on the 13th March 2015!

I was quite impressed!

Thanks for sharing! This would give a good idea to future FLR applicants who decides to submit their papers by post :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Next is Naturalisation (British Citizenship)
then
British Passport

Then, at personal option, Dual Citizenship (re-acquisition of Philippine citizenship)

Thanks Terpe. To be honest I haven't looked beyond the SET(M) thing so that's very helpful. I'm just researching the naturalisation requirements- they're new to me.

My wife seems keen to have dual citizenship so we'll do that I guess.

Have to say again that this forum has been so vital for me. I don't contribute that often as I tend to read the stuff that's already here and move on, but I can't express how grateful I am to you and others for the wonderful help you give.
Bless you!
Anakin :)

Don't get phased out by the Nauralisation form AN
It's actually the simplest most straightforward application you make and the last challenge to overcome on the UK immigration journey.

Cheers for that Terpe.

I also see it's another 900 quid...:bigcry:
