Some years ago a mate of mine was at Portsmouth Poly (before they dumbed it down and called it a University) I recall him telling me that the USS Nimitz had dropped anchor in the Solent and the whole city was full of slappers from London and stank of Brut :icon_lol:

Apparently it was accompanied by a couple of frigates and an assault ship carrying a thousand or so marines - I think they managed to get into the Naval Base but the Nimitz had to stay outside :biggrin:
