Had my 3 monthly jabs on Monday. I get 2 - both in the butt
One jab is a thick liquid and can take 5 minutes or so to fully unload the syringe contents.
It's a difficult one for the nurses to do. I've been getting these jabs for 4 or 5 yrs now, but this one has been the worst ever. I couldn't walk for 2 days.
The nurses are inexperienced for this kind of jab, and usually, take it from me, they then run around looking for advice from others and from doctors.
Well this nurse was trying to massage the area of butt while the needle was in to help the liquid spread. Not unusual, but :doh the needle was moving while she massaged. I felt the needle rubbing against my bones and it was very painful. The pain stayed for 2 days - 1st day the pain spread out down my leg too.
They may be well-known for their caring abilities, but I find they do lack experience.
