Well what crap weather most have had today, not good to be out on the roads I say but if its your job well, you have no choice.

One of our poor drivers had one of the worst days in a very long time.
His run is to go from Derby and work his way up to Hull and then work his way back, all our vehicles are fitted with trackers so we can track every one of them.

We were tracking him and we noticed that the police or someone decided to close the bridge over the river Ouse on the M62. We were in luck, he was just about to leave Hull, a quick call and we got him to go over the Humber Bridge. Well what do you know, they shut that too.

Can you imagine the chaos that caused, shut from early afternoon and was still shut when I left work just after 5pm.

We did try to divert him, but I reckon everyone else was tuned into his phone because wherever we sent him everyone was there too.

It's going to be a long long drive back to Derby for him.

It amazes me, whatever the weather is, we are just not prepared for it.

The Artics are fine whilst fully loaded Jamie, It's when they are empty or travelling light that's most worrying!:Erm:

Why didn't he just turn off and go through Howden, then back onto the M62 at Airmyn ? :anerikke:
