Hello, I just want to share my terrible experience with Azimo customer service regarding my remittance. I sent money to Philippines using Azimo last April 4 for 10k, so I assume everything will be fine and it will be available to collect on tuesday since monday is a bank holiday here. My friend told me that the hasnt come in yet so i e mailed Azimo about my concern and they sent me an email saying that the money will be available for pick up the next day. So I assume everything was alright. So my friend tried to pick up the cash again at BDO but the money isnt there yet, so i called them and the person I spoke to told me that someone will call me and email me about my concern, so after waiting for 5 hours they gave me a call and said that they will sort this out and the money will be available on monday April 13 but on monday is was still not available so called them again and again the person I spoke with told me that someone will give me a call and email me, but I waited for ages and ages and no one called me or emailed me. It was so hard to reach or talk to their customer service that you just get frustrated and i decided to have a refund, emailed them but no response. I think will not be able to get my money back because they are not responding to my email. I have been using this service for months now and they are very fast in getting your money out of your bank but if you will have a problem with the remmitance, the customer service will not be able to help you out. It was an absolute night mare to deal with their customer service. I think this will be a lesson for me in using this new remittance company because I realized hey are not really reliable so i want to warn those who would want to use this service bec they will not help you if you will have a problem.

What a terrible experience. It's so stressful and upsetting when the Customer Service folks just ignore your request for help.
Please do not give up in your effort to have your money returned. Once returned and in your hands I would press for compensation.
What a dreadful experience.
Lots of problems can arise with remittance business, but it's how it gets resolved that really counts.
It's not just about being cheap.
A good remittance company will provide great support, reasonable charges and a good RoE
There are plenty out there who do just that and used by our members here.
Good luck and don't give up on getting your money back. Keep demanding.

How did you transfer the money, bank transfer, cash, or debit/credit card?
If it was via a card then you may have some recourse via your visa guarantee

Sorry to here about that Filscot.
I did notice that Azimo replied to a bad review on trustpilot recently. Maybe you could try something along those lines. It might wake them up.
Even though they have a good score, there have been a few complaints lately if you scroll down. Here's the one they replied to.
I think this organisation is now becoming too big to care. A stark contrast to what it stood for when it first started. This is a pattern for start ups, who were efficient but then grew too big, too fast to care.

Hi Terpe, I already did that many times, but you cannot really talk to a proper customer service, the one who answers the phone will just get your name, email and phone number and promise that the specialist will call me back, but they didnt. I have been dealing with them for 2 weeks but no response. I request for a refund via email and phone but hasnt got any confirmation yet about my request, emailed them thrice. I already sent a written complaint addressed to the managing director called marek wawro ( Polish I think ) and spent £6 to post it as registered, I hope I get something from this.

I've got a feeling they are unregulated so the con artists could clean up

I think rather than go to your local Police Station you are now supposed to report it here

It would attract more attention to the complaint if the fraud squad were to email them, that's for sure.

Hello, I just want to update you about the written complaint I sent to Azimo Managing Director in London. I sent the 6 pages written complaint via registered mail yesterday and I've got an immediate reply via email.." Thank you for your message. We will issue this refund today and the money should reach you in 2-5 working days."
So I will still have to wait for next week and I hope they will do what they promised because I will not stop pursuing them until I get my hard earned money. But anyway, thank you so much guys for all the inputs here. This forum helped me to have the courage to pursue this unreliable remittance company, so never again, I learned my lesson. So please take note of this remittance company.

Good luck ! :xxgrinning--00xx3:
I have used Moneygram, Western Union and Orbit remit, all without problems so far  ....over the past 25 years.
Perhaps best to stick with the big established names ?

they are registered with the FCA, might be worth telling them your going to complain to the FCA and FOS http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/
