Well i have just gone down to vote and took Ems with me, Ems could not vote as she was to late to register even though we sent everything back with in time as they said,
Anyway in i went and Ems followed, up to the counter and what do you know, Ems name was there too, so i asked if she could vote and YES SHE CAN,
We put our crosses on the spot and out we walked, so proud that my wife has a say in how this country will run or not run,

You do, indeed ... :iagree:

 ... having officiated as a Presiding Officer at virtually ALL elections - Local and National - for nigh on three decades from 1983 right up to *2012 (and *since, apparently, been "put out to grass"!) I can certainly vouch for Central Government getting its money's worth (6.30 am until 10.15 pm) out of polling station staff, who are taxed to the hilt for their services.

We voted at 7pm had to queue for about 20 mins to get the papers - normally you're in and out of the place in 3 or 4 minutes. Mrs D followed my advice on where to put the X's..... I hope her friend and hubby also first timers did the same
