A doctor who fell asleep during a meeting held to discuss the death of a youngster on a children's hospital ward was also caught napping three times in one night shift, it has been claimed.

I wonder why we cant keep home trained doctors?

A friend of mine works as a Head Lab Tech in a Comprehensive School yesterday they had an "African" lady turn up to be interviewed as a Physics Teacher, her proficiency in English was suspect eg she couldn't understand "how many sugars do you want ?" This school has a bizarre policy of hiring an applicant from whoever turns up on the day - she was the only one to apply so she was given the job. A couple of years ago they took on a Nigerian to teach English - he quietly vanished after a couple of months. It really defies belief - I will be putting in an online FOI request asking about their procedures for vetting / checking qualifications of foreign applicants
