Video log of a Brit who decides to retire to the Philippines on his own.

Looks interesting. I've only watched one of his video's so far which was filmed in the UK before he went over (below) - but he's uploaded quite a few more video's to his channel.
Found here. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCegwghWDySliAEORgjaZqYA/videos

Did you see the video where he talks about his mate Malcolm who went over to Thailand and brought back a girl and the relationship lasted three days. He then returned to Thailand to bring back another and that one lasted three months. Ouch!

Not seen that one yet.

Sounds like his mate was shopping round the bars to me...for his holiday mates.

Yes, I have been watching Chris's videos since his first one. Tried to give him some suggestions re video as he has just started doing it this year.

He is living on $575 per month and has managed to do it so far.... so fair play to him.

A nice guy... a bit dopey at times but still a nice guy !

Frankly I find his videos a bit tedious and boring..Watching him walk five minutes to interview a sari sari store owner was about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Nice enough fella though.

You did ! Well you are a better man than me. My monthly rent was about that :cwm25: Mind you, I was living in Makati :Hellooo:

I'm not keen on roughing it these days !! But I admire anyone that can :icon_sorry:

I only pay 2,500 pesos a month for the apartment we rent in the province. (No fixed rental period).

It was brand new when we first rented it last year.

The guy has been there 5 minutes and says he is gonna give away his "back up"money of 3,000 Quid to someone he just met!!
Nice gesture I`m sure but I reckon there will be trouble ahead. :NoNo:

The guy does come across as a bit of an 'innocent abroad', but I'm trying to keep my big cynical gob shut.

Another PH Vlogger is an American called Burris who spent a year living and studying film and TV in Cebu, I think, so his video's are of a better quality but they're more about travel.
