My daughter lives in a block of flats just two floors high and you all use the same door to get into the flats then up the stairs you go,
Anyway the other day she got a letter pushed through the letterbox stating that she is causing a fire hazard with leaving things on the open stairwell and if this happens again they will send someone to remove it and will charge for this to happen too, and if this happens she may be evicted too,
Wow so serious you may think what could this be that is causing all these problems, A DOOR MAT, i told her to get a new one and dont put it outside her door but next to the wall so she can wipe her shoes before she goes into her home, and if someone says whos is that? NOT MINE will be the answer

I live in a block of four and three of them have been occupied continually by the same people for over decade including me. The other flat gets rented out and about a month ago new people moved in.

Got a knock on the door one day "Can you put a muzzle on your dog because he's barking every time I walk up the stairs". I ignored his stupid request but I was still pleasant to him although in hindsight should really have told him to .... off because about a week later I received a letter saying I was causing a disturbance.

They said they were going to install noise monitoring equipment or send people to witness the noise. The dog only barks when someone comes through the communal door and nobody else in the block or in the vicinity complains. Furthermore, it's not even my dog. I look after him for a friend at times who is in and out of hospital because she's got cancer.

Anyway, there's more to this ongoing story which I will explain at a later date. :censored:
