View Full Version : Red ribbon marriage certificate
My wife lives in Austria for ten years. We got married when she went home in the Philippines. We already got the Red Ribbon of our marriage certificate. My wife went back to Austria after we got married and she needs to change her surname as required to her present work. We don't have any idea in how we process our documents.
What is the first step? I'll go to Austrian embassy to give my documents?
I hope you can give me an advice on this matter.

Is she still holding a Philippine passport or is she an Austrian citizen now? If she's still a Filipino citizen, she has to renew/change her passport if she wants to use her married name. I'm not sure if there are special requirements for someone living in Austria. You can contact the Philippine Embassy in Austria for more details.
