Boeing and Vietnam Airlines have issued a publicity video of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner doing an almost vertical take off, I found it on MSN but don't know how to transfer it to this site, if someone can do it Please!:xxgrinning--00xx3:

I saw that, the plane must have been stripped and in very special trim to do that. Not actually very useful when you've got a coffee on your tray table :-)

I wonder if the tail of the aircraft touched the runway?:Erm:

Don't think I would like a windowless plane, unless it had video showing where we were I like to get a window seat when I can.
Not that I have flown since 2008 anyhow, I did like flying. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

:yeahthat: was the link I'd thought MIGHT be the one showing the video you're referring to, Michael ... but, since glancing also, at those which others have provided - particularly the 'YouTube' version Alan supplied (depicting the rehearsal for the Paris Air Show) - it looks like I've most probably been mistaken.

Aha!

Here's *ANOTHER video clip Michael - *it's similar to Alan's link - though, instead of being from YouTube ... it's courtesy of the BBC.

Passenger aircraft engines are overpowered if anything these days...for safety, should one be put out of commission. In the 747 Jumbo Jet days only 4 engined planes were considered safe enough to fly the longest routes.

Michael, I normally do a quick search (key words) on youtube, as most of these vids are duplicated on there.

Who would have thought that 40 years after the end of the Vietnam War the makers of the mighty B-52 Stratofortress would be flogging airliners to the Communist Vietnamese :Erm:
