Hi all, I have seen the news about the new requirement about the ESOL that will effect on 5th of November this year. I am planning to apply for the naturalization and then get a British passport. I only have the Life in UK test done and BRP been here in UK for 5 years now. Can you please help me what to do about the knowledge of English test? I'm a Filipina married for 10 years now and been together for 13 years most of it living in the Philippines and we have 4 children (3 children born in Manila). And is there anyone in here that lives in the North West (I'm in Preston) to help me where to get the ESOL done? Thank you so much in advance

Hello belle29, I have been reading about ESOL but I am still confuse. I am attending an English class here in our area to get ESOL certificate for my future application. Our instructor said that the certificate which we will receive after completion of the course providing we will pass all the assessment can be use to apply for British Naturalization. But after all the changes the Home Office made, I am not sure now if I am in the right track. I would sincerely appreciate if you could give me your opinion, or anyone here who able to find this thread, can give me information about this esol thing. By the way this English class is run by the council/ college here in our place.
