Right - wifey is all ready to go now - except for the CFO sticker...

I mention complication because her travel window will open August 15th (Saturday), her flight is August 15th. She has done the course and has the certificate but they will not put the sticker until she has the valid visa in her passport.

She has now - so she went back to the CFO office today and they refused to put it in :action-smiley-081:

They will only give you the sticker once the travel window is open (eating up the travel window) and the office is closed on Saturday and Sunday, and they have flat refused to put the sticker in if she visits the office again on the 14th August.

They have stated you can get the sticker at NAIA and the counter is open 5am - 12am 7 days a week - although looking around online its hit or miss if there will be a person manning the counter - so what she will find when she arrives I don't know, she will call ahead closer to travel time to make sure. Worst case we will just reschedule her flights till Monday - but what a faff at the final hurdle!!

So be warned, you need the CFO sticker to travel and you can't get it until your travel window is open even though you have the vignette in your passport and the office is only open 5 days a week.

I will report how she gets on at the Airport CFO counter on the 15th!

Yes a complication.
Unless the procedures have changed recently, it's necessary to 'book a slot' for the CFO desk at NAIA to be sure there is somebody available and ready to assist.
It's always (previously) worked pretty well although I'd definitely allow plenty of extra time.

Thanks for posting that gem of information. It's always been the case of no valid visa no sticker, but as you highlight, it has more meaning these days with a limited travel 'window'

Do try to make a booking and let us know how it goes.

Good luck to your wife :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I'm sure you already have all the needed contact numbers but just in case it's helpful:-

NAIA Desk:(+632) 879-5685
Manila: (+632) 552-4700
Cebu: (+63) 32-2555253

If she decides to pick up at the airport be sure she take all the needed documents

So you need to get the cfo sticker at the airport.

My wife has done the seminar. I thought she could go back there when she had the visa.

No you don't need to pick up at the airport. That should best be treated as emergency route.

The wife of Washy will travel out on the 15 August which happens to be the first valid date of her 30 day vignette. CFO sticker is only given to those who hold a valid visa.
Valid visa means that the start date of the visa (30 vignette) is current.

When your wife gets her visa she'll need to wait until her start date (valid from date) is current before CFO will grant the passport sticker.

Yeah she's tried calling the 5685 number a few times now - its permanently engaged, she will keep trying - plenty of time left to make an appointment.
