Just takes a little bit of getting used to but it's good - and of course remember how many of us said we will never change from xp and we did and what an improvement! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Depends on your processor 32 bit, and 64 bit. 64 bit lets you use over 4 gigs of ram. Check SYSTEM to see what you have. 32 bit is old hat now.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hmm I'm suprised at that.If it's running slow ded try seeing what programs are starting up when you boot it up.type in msconfig select start up and see how many things are checked to start up.Should only need 3 or 4.

could be overheating as laptops can do-is it well ventilated ie make sure you raise the bottom of laptop clear of anything so the warm air can dissipate. If still struggling then a format is always the best option.

It's slow because it has no graphics card to use (no driver), so is using the CPU for graphics.
Try the correct one of these:
32 Bit http://www.driverscape.com/files/display/NVIDIA_307.90_Desktop_XP_32bit.zip

Had a go at installing windows 10 this morning. It said make sure you have saved whatever, that was the first thing I had no Idea what it meant, the next thing it told me I would lose Windows Media, didn't really know what that meant apart from something to do with music. Anyway I just let it get on with it and when it came to the part where it tells you to sit and relax I decided to clean the car and when I checked the computer later there was just a blank screen so I switched it off by pressing the button because nothing else responded then turned it on again and it told me it was loading my previous Windows. As this was happening I realised that Windows Media is Freeview so I'm pleased that what happened did happen otherwise we would have lost it. So I'll have to stick with Windows 7!:xxgrinning--00xx3:
