A benefits fraudster with hundreds of thousands in the bank carried on conning the system while living a lavish lifestyle 7,000 miles away in the Philippines, a court heard.
Antony Malam enjoyed the good life thanks to £85,000 he swindled from the state over a six-year period.
Malam claimed almost every benefit going including income support, employment support allowance, disability living allowance, housing benefit, council tax benefit, pension credits and incapacity benefit.
Jailing him, Judge David Fletcher described the 60-year-old's level of offending as breathtaking.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard the claims Malam made which were always fraudulent ran from 2008 to 2014.
