Letter from employer re payslips

Is it necessary to get a letter from my employer stating my payslips are genuine ?

I get nhs payslips and they will correspond with my bank account.

Did anyone else do this?

I just got my boss to write a letter for me , it was about how long i have been there and also that i have a job for life at his company too,

I got a letter from HR stating that.

I read somewhere on the UKVI website that a letter was needed to state the payslips were genuine.

Seems crazy.

My letter from my boss was to say I worked there, how much I earned.

Payslips were added separate and not verified, but quite easy to see they matched up with the monthly payments into my bank account from my work.
