mobile phone antivirus

this is quite new to me, using internet on mobile phone,
im pretty much a newbie to this,
i bought a cherry mobile android kitkat,

i dont see any apps for a firewall so i assume there isnt such a thing, but there are apps for antivirus,
and was wondering if any of you can recommend a good free one

realy avg ? i used to use it for a long time on desk top, but bad reports iv seen that it puts other stuff on ur comp, is it free from these unwanted extras for mobile phone version,

i read up on avast, but reviews say it constantly scans and slows things down

You do not need AV on a mobile, just do not click any links in messages and emails. Infections are very rare.
