They hit Italy first and then after 2 years when they get their European documents they had straight to Uk

I dont know but after spending 2 years in Italy they then become European citizens :anerikke:

How does that work ?
I stand to be corrected, but I always thought that anyone granted refugee status in the EU can only have the right of Freedom of Movement to other EU countries after having been living there (in the country granting refugee asylum status) continuously for five years.
It's correct though that, in general, anyone who becomes a citizen of one EU country can live and work in any other.
