I have no idea what Ems would like , sorry i do know what she would like but thats to much money so i may have to ask for more ideas but for £xxxx ,

Christmas is a special time for me.
Trouble is Christmas Day is gone too quick.
That's why I enjoy a nice long run up to the big day which is the finale.
The longer the run up the better IMO
Christmas is more fun in the Philippines

I've a bit of a plan to get a small jet ski for Crimbo
Big enough for two of course.
Or perhaps a small motor boat for fishing.
I wonder if a jet sky could double up :Erm:

Christmas is more fun in the *Philippines
Probably you're right :icon_rolleyes: ... as I've fond memories of bathing in the sea *there on Christmas Day.
:yeahthat: event was celebrated back in 2008 - on a beach in Comval Province - and I'm reminded of being reluctant to emerge from the water afterwards!

Its all about buying what you are wanting , not buying for the sake of a name , plus its knowing where to buy it from, that can save you tens of pounds too
I am looking at buying something that i will use daily and it will do all i ask of it , and if that is what others may call cheap and that its a name that they have not heard off, well its more money in my pocket

Beware.
Sometimes cheap is not cheap

But what others may call cheap, its what the person buying can afford ,

Yes that's true..........but if you cannot afford the tripod that does what it says on the tin then maybe it's better to wait until you can.
If you need a tripod, you need it for a reason. If it doesn't fulfil the reason it's not worth buying at any price.
Just my opinion.
Sometimes expensive doesn't fulfil the reason and that's even worse.

Thats right Peter,
All i was trying to say is that i do know what i would like and i do know the cost of things too, I am lucky in one way i could afford most things, but i like to wait a while just to make sure its what i am wanting ,
I am quite happy shopping around and reading up on the things too, that way i know what i want and where to go for it too,
Some people just seem to go to the same shop and pay the same price all the time rather then maybe going next door, they may have the same thing but a little cheaper,
Thats all i am doing seeing if next door has it at a better price, it is surprising sometimes want you may get as a offer or even a free gift too,
I am looking at the Manfrotto 190xpro4 with xpro 3 way head, a very nice piece of kit and it does everything except make a cup of tea,
The price including a free bag ( not farmfoods ) i have got that all for under £199 brand new,
But i still have to think about it

Yes i did Michael , and it has served me well, but with the bigger heaver Camera and lens its getting a little risky i have to make sure the lens is always over the leg, its a great tripod for taking out , its light, but the time has come to look for another

I think you'll be a person who will fully utilise a tripod with all those whistles and bells.
I once tried to put together a motorised tripod to follow the progress of the moon for long long exposures.
Complete failure.
Some of the latest gyroscopic camera supports available these days are complete magic. All available here too.
Not that I can afford them. :NoNo:
But I can dream
