Volkswagen Chief Executive, Martin Winterkorn has apologised profusely for "irregularities" in emissions tests conducted by the German car manufacturing GIANT ... affecting some 11M vehicles.

Head of the Firm's US franchise, Michael *Horn was even prepared to go a step further, by "*blaring" that they'd "screwed up" ... whilst here in :Britain:, the Department of Transport is calling for a full scale investigation.

:doh Bloody idiots. This will cost them billions. A class action is already being put together by customers in the US, basically for misspelling. As VW have admitted it, that is a case already won, so as well as the loss in sales and the fines, they will have to pay the 500,000 customers money.

:yeahthat:'s certainly a relief! :doh

Meanwhile, EU Member States are being advised to launch their own investigations.

Send them all to the R.P... we could do with a cheap, good quality upgrade.
