I know we might have to pay a terminal fee at the airport (might be included in ticket price now)

But are there anybody other fees my wife has to pay as she is immigrating on a spouse visa ?

Thanks.

Think it might be a travel tax Filipinos have to pay on migration. Maybe around 1620 php.

Is this correct?

Here's the official Travel Tax Webpage:-

http://www.tieza.gov.ph/index.php/travel-tax

There's no mention of the recent almalgamation of Travel Tax to ticket price.

But ........ it should be that the Travel Tax of P1620 is included in the ticket price.
(with the exception of Philippine Airlines)

1. Check the ticket to see what's included and what's not
2. Be aware that the airport staff will always try to get money from you. How you handle that depends on how lucky you feel.

Sorry to say

Please let us know how it all goes

In most cases it's supposed to be included in the ticket price.

1. Always check
2. Always ask
3. Always carry sufficient Peso to the airport to cover all eventualities
4. Always smile

its just that at the stage of buying ticket, how do they know if you are pinoy or 13a holder or a visitor, cos tax is different for 13 holder and pinoy, to visitor/tourest

They will send you to the tax desk to pay the fee before giving you the boarding pass. The tax is 1620php for Filipino nationals and if you go back with in a year and leave philippines again the tax is less but the carry on they give us isincredible. We had over 30 minutes for arguments just to save 600 pesos in tax For my wife.hardly worth it really .i had to quote immigration law and all sorts before having to talk to 2 managers.

We got a flyer from the cfo yesterday when Wifey got her sticker.

The airport tax is 1620 php. This is separate from the terminal fee and is payable by Filipinos that are immigrating abroad.

The terminal fee is 750 php which may or may not be included in the ticket price now as I remember Graham didn't have to pay it on his last trip but that was manila and we are flying from Cebu.

So I will assume I will have to pay it also.

And I will smile.

The cost depends on how many bullets they find in your suitcase.

LOL.

I believe it hasn't happened at cebu yet. Just manila.

But all our bags including carry ons will have locks on.

We are watching those bags like a hawk and retrieving them the second they are through the xray.

We just flew back from Cebu on the 29th October, 2 days ago, so i can tell you exactly what all the costs are. Depending on what class you are travelling in will determine the cost for your wife or girlfriends travel tax if she is holding a Filipina passport.
1,620 peso is the cost if she has a spouse visa, fiancee visa or FLR visa and is flying economy class. If she is flying in a higher class then the price will increase, premier economy will still be the same price and economy.
You are right with the terminal fee, it is 750 peso and that is payable by all passengers.
For me and the wife it cost us the grand total of 3,100 peso to get out of the country. This was flying out of the Philippines via Cebu. Once your wife has IRL then she will not have to pay travel tax, even with a filipino passport or UK one.

These fees are not included in your flight ticket. You pay this at the airport before you travel or you do not leave.

Thank you mate. That's what I thought but good to have it confirmed.

We leave tomorrow.
