Hi.

Just a question about adding my wife's name to bills and things for the next step ILR.

Do we have to use her surname as on passport or married name.

Her passport is still in her maiden name.

Thank you.

Use her married name now Phil then you won't have to change anything later, even registering for Surgery ect because that is her official name now. You can contact Philippine Embassy to change her Passport name!:xxgrinning--00xx3:

I used my married name because I eventually changed my passport details anyway.

The important thing is to keep copies of Bills etc in you and your wifes name for various dates throughout the duration of your visa. The idea is to prove you are living as a couple for the entire period. I should think married name makes more sense as you will be changing her passport to that anyway eventually.

Hi All,

We got married in the UK, my Wife is registered at the Doctors and is on the Council tax bill, but all my utilities are with one company Gas/Electric/Phone/Broadband so I am wondering will 2 things in her name be enough when we come to renew her FLR? What other bills do any of you use?

Thanks in advance.

Water bill is in Emma's name but she makes me pay,
Council tax and bank should be enough i would have thought.
