A big thank you to all.
Thanks to Alan who started the post and who somehow figured this day out.
It's been a busy day and a very nice heartwarming day for me. Started at 5 am with a special birthday serenade from all the most beautiful ladies in our village.
Oh, not to forget the United Nations contingent of blokes.
I've enjoyed almost all of my favourite eats and drinks ( to excess  ) and been able to enjoy the company of beautiful people.
Thank again to all who send their wishes.
I'm now looking forward to receiving my state pension and celebrating all over again.
I'm having the usual very big Filipino 'do' on the 10th when the house will be full to bursting, loud karaoke all day, lots of the very best lechon de leche and once again the company of beautiful people.
I feel it's true to say that youth is definitely wasted on the young

Having had the opportunity to re-live my teenage years throughout my 50s & early 60s ... :iagree:, Peter!

Funnily enough, Myrna arranged for me to be serenaded too (at a similarly ungodly hour!) ... by a group of Christian Gospel singers known as 'The Afterglow Sound' :veryhappy::veryhappy::veryhappy: - led by the Head of the Science Faculty, at Panabo NHS (an Engineer Gerson Dumpassan, whom she'd taught alongside for over two decades) - also on my (64th) birthday. Therefore before I turned pension age.
