:yeahthat:'s RIGHT! You read it correctly, I DON'T mean "Ground Control to Major Tom" :telephone: - the anti-hero of David Bowie's classic masterpiece - released into the charts to presumably coincide with mankind's first Lunar Landing ... 3 years before our subject's birth.

Tim Peake, born in Chichester, West Sussex in 1972 is a former Major with the RASC. Peake, a fitness enthusiast, graduated from Sandhurst and is an experienced aircraft pilot who has swapped his army role to become the first (and only British) astronaut to take part in manned research missions to the International Space Station which apparently orbits about 250 miles above the Earth.

Due to blast off on the morning of December 15th - returning approximately six months' later - I guess, by then, he really will've reached his peak!

Guys, if the space station is only 250 miles above the earth why did it take a rocket that flies at thousands of miles per hour over 7 hours to get there? no, its not a trick question I'm struggling to understand...:anerikke:

:bigcry: ... sad to've [since] learnt of the death of David Bowie, the 1969 classic's original lyricist.

There was a clear night a few days ago, and using an ISS tracker on my tablet we went outside to see him going over our house. I tried that in the Philippines too, but the problem is that normally the route it takes is very low to the horizon and I was not able to spot it.
