hi, I'm Raven. I am Filipina married to a British for 3 years. I'm here in the Philippines and I am currently applying for a settlement visa. Praying that it will be granted, so we can be together permanently. My husband is 6 years younger than me, I am 30 years old. :) I worked as a cashier trainer at a home improvement centre in Laguna, Philippines.

Thank you so much to all of you guys! I already have all the documents I needed to submit on VFS on the 20th.. hoooo, feel so nervous everytime I do stuff like this. In actuality, It will be my 4th time to apply for a visa, the first one was a fiancee visa which I agreed on the visa denied result because it was my first time and I lacked evidences, the second one I was granted a family visit visa valid for 6 months, the third time I applied again for a family visit visa unfortunately I was denied states ''not to make UK the de-facto-home'' which Really I don't understand. lol.. Now I'm on this settlement application, I hope and pray this one will be ok, since i have everything I need, TB test done, Ielts done, cfo is done (need to go back to cfo office for the sticker once i have the visa ) fingers crosses on that.. wooooo... nervous... and excited at the same time. keeping up the good vibes.. and hopefully It will be a good news soon. How long does it take to know the reslut for the settlement? Heard it's like 3 months, hopefully much shorter period. haaaaaaaaaa... I don't know, I need to relax... :) Thank you guys!

What's a settlement Visa? I assume it's a nonquota immigrant visa to get to the UK?
Good luck and best whishes for you.
BTW, I'm from Sta Rosa, Laguna near Techno Park and have been retired here 18 yrs now.

Hi, The commonly known UK Spouse Visa or Settlement Visa is meant for the spouse, partner, proposed partner, civil partner, child or other dependant relative of a person who is currently settled in the UK or coming to the UK to settle. :)
