Well its that time of year where you may have some spare cash to put somewhere where you may get a little interest , but where,
Any ideas boys and girls and dont say your bank unless you will offer me 5% guaranteed ,
I have been looking but with the ISA rates so low and the best i have seen is the Santander 123 account, you get a great 3% on savings upto £20000,
Yes there are things you have to do for that but there is nothing that comes close to that, unless you know different , so any other ideas anyone

No interest on savings compared to here, yes if it jumps above 70 then it may be worth looking into

Actually this is excellent advise, if you think the exchange rate is going to drop.

Let's take £10,000 as an example....

IF you get 5% here then you'll earn £500 interest

Exchange to peso's and it'll work out at 650,000php (65/£)

If it were to drop to say 62 within the year you'd get 620,000php, difference of over £480

Could always go the other way though :Erm:

That's the problem, better to leave here in a Santander account making £600,
But like I asked is there anything else out there

there are good ways to make decent money risk free- certainly a lot better than any bank

i use a product called Profit Maximiser which has a daily calender of offers for matched betting opportunities, risk free casino offers etc

this wont be for everyone- needs good discipline but i make between £300-£500 per month doing it part time

Arbitrage betting isn't 100% risk free and far less lucrative than normal betting on horses for example.

The bad news is – if you are outside of the UK/Ireland, you can’t participate. :icon_lol:

Those words are his not mine. Scroll down and you'll see.

I don't doubt that money can be made from arbing but there's still not a 100% guarantee every time due to the odds changing in the blink of the eye, websites not loading, computer crashing etc

I've just decided to take pay some Additional Voluntary Contributions to the company pension fund. The fact that you get Tax Relief at your highest rate was the deciding factor for me.

If i was still wanting to stay in employment i would be doing just that, you will not get a better rate, thats if you live long enough to enjoy it that is,
I am thinking i have just another 1 year of working left so i have to look else where

Well its all about done now,
2 accounts set up with Santander and hopefully another one soon, that will give 3% on upto £20000 in each account, plus we can have a 5% savings but only on £200 per month fixed for a year too,
Yes you have to have this and that and pay £5 for each account but its the best thing out there at this moment,
Now all we have to do is find a good ISA rate

Well I thought I would just mention that all is well so far.
The best thing is when you have a problem and you use the telephone to talk to someone,
Once you have got through the security they answer the phones with in seconds, a very good service that many don't do
