Any members know of any rentals and there cost too, within a few miles of beach, i would be looking at 3 to 6 months, plus is it the case the longer you rent the cheaper it becomes ,
I am trying to work out some sort of costing for once we are over there, or if you can put me onto any web sites that are up to date doing this sort of thing
She rents the furnished studio units by the sea out for 15K steve..

You could try airbnb although I'm not sure if that caters for the longer term rental :Erm:

When we lived in Davao we were just 5 mins walk from 'a beach'
I went one time only :NoNo:
There are beaches and beaches.
The house we had in Davao Oriental was just 20 metres from the sea and with proper golden sand. .......still no
for me. :NoNo:
BTW Steve, 3 - 6 months is not generally considered 'long term'
Six months and upwards is usually longer term.
Renting in a decent house in decent location close to a decent beach will cost you. I'd say P30k upwards per month on average.
You should think very carefully about how often you'll be at the beach and just what amenities are close by.

As always, it's a personal choice.
Given that you have good rent free place in Marikina, I'd suggest using that as your base for exploring.
Renting may not always provide a good place at a reasonable price in a reasonable location for a shortish rental period.
Think carefully.

Yes think carefully Steve, as most of you are aware i recently spent 3 months in Phills, we agreed a month long deal on Samal, but after 2 weeks we were bored, and looking for things to do, yeah first few weeks were at the Beach sometimes twice per day, after the first 2 weeks the novelty wore off, looking back we regretted not spending more time Touring.

Never see hardly anyone on the beaches in the Philippines, I think if one spent more than half an hour on the beach it would finish you:cwm25:

I LOVE THE BEACH,I LOVE THE SEA, IF WE WAS NEAR THE SEA I WOULD BUY A SEA KAYAK,
Again its down to each of us but also i love the mountains and the walks,
This may sound funny to some but since getting into photography you see things so different, on our last holiday on the beach i was up first thing and i could find so much to do just by walking on the beach taking pictures, ok ok so what if i did get a few people in bikinis in my pictures, THEY WAS JUST THERE:biggrin:
But by the time i got back to the place they was deleted :xxgrinning--00xx3:
