"BIGGER than Godzilla - Perth's answer to the Eiffel Tower?"

Hmm ... :yeahthat:'s what locals - "craning" their necks to see it - are saying about the GIANT crane ... that needed ANOTHER [smaller] one to put it into place. :icon_lol:

All part of the work involved in the ongoing transformation of the Fair City's, "new~look Perth Theatre (first opened as far back as 1900) ... which, over the 116 years since, has become one of the most famous theatres of its kind - not only in Scotland, or ... :anerikke: ... indeed the UK :nono-1-1: ... but worldwide ... as very many of aspiring young thespians, such as "the two Donalds" (Sinden and Sutherland) - as well as (more recently) Ewan McGregor, to name just three - who initially "trod the boards" here, have gone on to further their careers in Hollywood movies. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Interesting topic also a beautiful city and I'm sure the transformation will be worthwhile. Brings back fond memories of my working life when I used to travel along the A9 regularly to deliver goods to the north of Scotland and then collecting seed potatoes from all parts of Perthshire to many different destinations in England, nice days Arthur.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Michael, as a 'truckie' for so long you experienced so many places. How wonderful was that.
My life was similar except that my transportation was an airplane.

I only fully experienced travelling the UK when my wife came over and we travelled around together.
From Lands End to John o Groats....from Morfa Bychan to Mablethorpe

It was a great life Peter, just like a long holiday with a lot of hard work thrown in, it kept me fit.:xxgrinning--00xx3:
