Still they keep coming, and the water is getting colder too,
I was watching the news today and they had rescued more people from boats that had set sail from the libya coast line, one boat was full of men and the other had lore women it seemed.
They was interviewing a young lady who did not want to identified and she was just 16, she had said she had fled the Ivory coast from a arranged marriage and had been traveling for many months.
It was said she would be accepted in Italy until she was 18 then she would maybe be return , asked what she wanted to happen.
She said she would like to study medicine and after studying that she would like to go back to her country, well why leave it then if you are wanting to go back to the place you was running from is my question, and where do all these people get all there money from to fund there life after being on the run .

There are far too many people on this planet of ours, and some of us are lucky enough to have been born in pleasant circumstances... others not so.
Would I help create another human being if I was resident in a refugee camp though, or in the middle of a civil war ? :anerikke:
I actually think we already have quite enough stupid and irresponsible people here in the UK... let alone possible terrorists or those who just plain despise everything about us and our culture, apart from our welfare system.

So just where we draw the line ?, we have economic migrants, we have people searching for a better life, i dont know its a difficult problem, Mrs Merkel has a lot to answer for..
But we have people in our own country who would no doubts like to study to be a Doctor, but its not as simple as that... I wanted to be a Train Driver when i was young, but it never happened for whatever reason.. whilst i have every sympathy for these people, the politicians have to find an answer to this problem, bcuz there are millions upon millions not only on the African continent but worldwide, I know its hard but a line has to be drawn under this somewhere, we ourselves have seen millions of these economic migrants from the EU who when compared to those in Africa could be considered to have a reasonable way of life...
Im afraid the internet, Social media, Smart Phones have all helped to make this an ongoing and increasing problem, make no mistake this is not going to end anytime soon...

With all the migrants coming here in droves, maybe we ought to go to their countries and make a better way of life..... oh.. we did that before a few hundred years ago didn't we, then we gave it all back and look what happened.... :doh

The UN Refugee Agency publishes the following statistics. Make of it what you will.

Yes, we were the awful people who built their (now rotting) infrastructure for them, established an education system, national government etc.
Of course the daftest thing we did was give many of them British passports too.
