Hi Harry
If you're still around QC/ Cubao this weekend then you're welcome to enjoy some eats and drinks at my place incelebration of my B'day.
My actual B'day is 8 and we'll go to Vikings Marikina as I eat (and drink unli san mig draft) ubder their B'day promo.
So we have a 'get together' on 10
I'll be picking up my builders from the condo and taking the LRT to Marikina. If you're around the Cubao (alone or accompanied) and are free, just let me know I'll guide you on the LRT.
We can meet up at any point in Gateway as that's where the LRT station is.
Do you know the ATM Centre Gateway?
Anyway it's up to you depending on your free time.
Stay over if you wish no problem.
The plan is that another Brit will also attend, but he's unpredictable, so just have to see.

I thought of you the other day Peter, as I got off the bus at Cubao, to transfer into a taxi... before missing my flight home. :cwm3:
Now 250 quid lighter after re-booking on to the next flight. :Brick:

Hardly fair of the :airline: you used to lump on an extra £250 to the [doubtless] extortionate fare you'd already paid for your return flight, Graham. :nono-1-1: ... especially if it wasn't your fault you missed the plane. :doh!
Singapore Airlines, on the other hand ... :anerikke: ... didn't charge me a bean for changing my flights three times while waiting on Myrna's *visa in the [vain] hope *it would arrive before I finally left Davao International Airport for home - from the Philippiness - back in early 2009. :NoNo:

It was my fault Arthur.
I waited 2 hours in our town for a bus to Manila, that simply didn't appear.
That left me short on time, resulting in my missing check-in by a maddening 15 minutes or so. :doh
I had to sleep in the airport. ...after 9 hours on the road.
Previously I've always stayed in Manila the night before my flight... and I will definitely do so next time. Expensive lesson.

Just a thought, but can't you claim on your travel insurance for the missed flight :Erm:

Apparently not without the (now impossible to obtain) paperwork to back up my claim Simon.
I took my eye off the ball...or the bus timetable... and paid the price. :anerikke:

Graham, you and I both know that any paperwork can be obtained if you want it, especially there
