Must admit this is the first time for me to learn about the huge scale of this

Well done to those folks who endure the regulation

...And as usual it is likely to be 'ethnic minorities' who are running and participating in these schemes... the stiffer regulations having been brought into force due to the cheating of the previous system in the past, by their comrades.

Meanwhile those of us who actually have ancesters going back more than one generation in this country are being punished for the crimes and blood-sucking of others. :cwm23:

Now that its newsworthy and the BBC have publicised it i wonder how long before that route is closed? It says immigration lawyers are involved in the scam,i was in hounslow, that quintesential english town, last week, immigration lawyers offices are sprouting up faster than watercress seeds on damp tissue, how come the BBC havent cottoned on to them as fast?

I stayed in Chatham for a while before leaving UK (wouldn't recommend it :cwm3:)

It's only a small town but in and around the High Street and the Railway Station I counted 11 immigration lawyer offices :NoNo:

It's easy to understand how folks can become involved with them and how the unscrupulous
ones seek out their prey.
Large fees with no guaranteed outcome

I guess this issue will be closed by March 2019 (i.e. once we leave the EU).

its these that abuse the ss route that spoil it and make it much harder for those like me and Brian, the rules keep changing and have changed a lot since i started this route,
it really is not an easy option now, yes iv got to UK but it isn't over yet, there's been a lot of stress and more yet to come, im on a time limit and struggling to get together all the requirements plus 91 pages of application form to figure out , its confusing to understand and know if your answering the questions correctly, then after that when its ready send it off wait for letter to do biometrics, then wait for co, then wait for decision, and to top that if they decide you have circumvented the ss route just to get to uk it will be rejected, how on earth can you prove otherwise, and the end of the day its down to them. plus if i fail it will be too late to return to ireland as the 5 year residency will be void after six months absence:NoNo:

Go to the newspapers.

It will make a change from the campaigns started for lots of people who are essentially parasitic scumbags fighting to stay here when they have no right at all to be here in the first place.

.........if they decide you have circumvented the ss route just to get to uk it will be rejected......

I've been out of this loop for some time but I haven't been made aware of any changes since the 'centre of life' changes years ago.

Just to set your mind at rest Stewart I see no circumvention of the SS rules on your part.
You are both legally in UK now and just need to stick at it regardless and follow the protocols.
It has always been potentially tricky to secure UK residence under your circumstances.

It'll come through eventually :xxgrinning--00xx3:
