Report out at the moment, china indonesia and the philippines are responsible for 40% of all the plastic dumped into the sea,by 2050 the combined weight of oceanic plastic will outweigh the fish that live in the ocean :yikes: with the philippines being a country that relies heavily on fishing and sea food the future aint bright :NoNo:

In some countries rubbish collection organisations will often just illegally dump this stuff.

Recyclers (rubbish pickers) will focus on making as much money as they can to put food on the table.
Means concentrate on the larger plastic bottles and forget those millions of tons of plastic 'sachets'

Some countries sell almost everything you can think of in small, cheap plastic sachets.
Oddly enough, a litre of fabric conditioner may cost P150 with a 15ml sachet probably costing P2.25

You can buy small sachets of virtually anything without any penalty for buying a small amount.

On a positive note, our local Savemore and SM supermarkets in Marikina ( also many other stores) have no plastic bags at all. Only brown paper bags.
