I was asked by a fellow enthusiast to list the sci-fi movies I'd personally seen recently.

Well it's quite a big ask as I've seen so many. Most not really worth suggesting and some I couldn't even face watching until the end.

Heres a first stab at ones I can remember enjoying although not in any order other than memory recollection:-

Thank you so much Peter, will now check out which ones are available on UHD Blue ray discs because I need to build up my collection of Sci Fi films, I believe there is a new film just recently made that tells the story previous to 'Prometheus' don't know the title or if it's been released yet.:Erm:

Well Peter i have just watched the film,
A very long film and i must say i was not impressed at all, if it was just a film about kidnap and that thing, it could be very good, but the ending spoilt it with the so called Alien . very disappointing.
6/10.

And what a great movie this is, but this time the music through out the film was just as exciting too .

Very good Peter, special effects was excellent, the train crash amazing, and talk about hanging on to a rail well say no more.
This is something i would not have bothered with so thank you.

I watched it and despite initial trepidation, due mostly to poor reviews, I found myself enjoying it. Really enjoying it.
Interesting and innovative storyline, which is something I like.

But........................
The ending completely took me by surprise in a number of ways. The biggest being I had no understanding what happened whatsoever.

So although I enjoyed it the ending disappointed.
