Over the last few days traffic along one of the busiest roads coming into and out of derby the A52 has been utter chaos and many just like myself do try to avoid it.
We have a tracking system on our vehicles and we can see up to date how the roads are , but we cannot see what has caused the road to be so slow or even closed .
Yesterday i had to go out onto the A52 both ways and i found out what is causing these problems , "tree cutting".
Yes a duel carriageway had one lane closed on both sides for this to happen, the busiest time of the day from 8am till 3pm , the traffic was trying to avoid this area but that caused more problems at other places.
I wonder if the council had some extra money left before the end of there financial year , so they are looking at ways to spend it.
It would have been better to pay overtime rates and do these jobs over the weekend, but hey that could be to simple to think.
