Years ago you had a week away from work and maybe you had a choice of either Skegness or Mablethorpe , remember i had a young family then and not much money either.
Then you maybe thought lets go to another country,Wales.
Great holidays with the family and you do look forward to these times.
Then you think about going abroad to places like France, again money is tight but you save up and maybe you even go for the two weeks this time.
So what has changed since then , you may be able to take a 4 week holiday but not every year, yes you have more money and you can go further too.
But are there to many choices these days or are we expecting to much,
Still trying to find somewhere for June, but with Ems throwing everywhere at me its getting harder.
Latest one lets have 1 day in Rome then onto Venice then Florence and can we visit Barcelona too.
Plus dont forget Las Vegas , New York is still flying around in her head.:doh

My mum used to live in Mablethorpe. I used to go every Summer for a weeks holiday to visit. Come out her front door, cross the road up the steps and you were on the beach.
Was gutted when after 8 years she moved 40 minutes more inland to a place called Alford.
However she moved to Blackpool late last year, so...............
I've been to a lot of places. But i like Seychelles the best. I always spend a month when i go. However now I'm a married man and have a little one. Doubt I'll be going again.

Looking at flight to Venice then train to Florence then a day trip to Pisa then onward to Rome for a few days then down to Naples or visa versa , depends on the cost and we are flexible too on the dates, but i bet once i price this up she will want to change it.
And this is from someone who maybe dont even know where these places are but she wants to go.

LOL, another one who hears about a place and has no idea where it is...
Mind you my ex (American, worldly travelling) booked a surprise hol for my Birthday a number of years ago. She wouldn't tell me where it was etc. I had to keep guessing, I established it was in the Atlantic but wasn't the Canaries and the usual suspects, got to thinking about the Caribbean side. But no, it turns out it was Malta. Still it was (is) a great place and I loved the holiday.

Sigh.
Barcelona is lovely in itself, a few days there and explore somewhere like Malaga/Seville would be 'easier'.
