View Full Version : Millau bridge France

Has anyone ever been across this bridge or has seen it too.
I would love to travel across it but i would also love to take a picture of it too.
Driving from Derby is a big no with my car plus the time it could take plus the cost too, so what would be the nearest airport to fly into then maybe hire a car for a few days , plus as Emma will be so bored there has to be a area that emma will enjoy too.
Having never traveled that far down in France any advice and help would be welcome , plus if you have taken pictures of the bridge where is the best place to get that picture.

Never been but i have watched a number of BASE jump videos from it,looks awesome.

I was looking at that route, quite expensive fights but hey everything seems expensive to steve.:biggrin:

We have driven over it every year for the past 3 years on our way to Spain, we have also stayed on a campsite called les rivages which looks up to the bridge, I will try and dig some pics out...

WOW, that is some site, it must take your breath away.
How long does it take from Calais to reach the bridge, or do you stop over some where .

It's about 600 to Miles to millau and as we tow a caravan we stop over mid way...

... and, for the record, :wink: - with no time to lose - at 467.4 km (291.65 miles) via the A61 & A9 routes ... it's a 43/4 hours' drive from Toulon to Toulouse.
