Terrible accident at Donnington Park

A terrible accident happened at Donnington park racing circuit involving Billy Monger.
The poor lad lost both of his legs in that crash.
There is a collection going around for him and so far its raised over £500,000 so far.

I was watching that race meeting on tv that day and saw it happen.
Poór lad.
Nice to see so many caring and generous people out there though.

Loss of legs terrible, but lucky to be alive, hope he can get back to a normal life you never know he may be able to continue driving someday, good luck to him!

Bad luck about the accident, great that so many people have donated so much..

I dont want to seem to be a killjoy, but 2 things come to mind, firstly that to get into this form of Motorsport needs lots of money even to just get started, secondly this Boy should have been insured either by his Team, or by the racetrack, surely this insurance would cover this eventuality ?.
